Call for Projects

Parallel Cases//IABR@RDM presents designs and research projects from 44 schools and universities from around the world; projects related to the themes Squat, Community, Refuge, Collective and Reciprocity

IABR is teaming up with the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design, the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (IHS) and the Hogeschool Rotterdam, for Parallel Cases//IABR@RDM.
The exhibition takes place from 25 September until 12 December 2009, on the new RDM Campus, now under construction.

Parallel Cases//IABR@RDM seizes the opportunity, within the freedom provided by ‘academic projects’, to explore the themes of the 4th International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam via a series of future oriented projects, with the aim to contribute to the debate on the Open City.

Among the schools and universities that contribute to this exhibition, are TU Delft (NL), Harvard University (US), TU Berlin (DE), TU Eindhoven (NL), Tamkang University Taiwan (TW), ETH Studio Basel (CH), Royal Colleg of Art, London (GB), IHS Rotterdam (NL), University of California, Berkeley (US), ETH Zurich (CH), Artez, Academy of Architecture Arnhem (NL), University of Munich (DE), Academy of Architecture and Urbanism, Rotterdam (NL).
