Ralf Pasel is principal architect of pasel.künzel architects and presently visiting professor and at the Academy of Architecture and Urban Design Rotterdam. He taught at the Technical University in Delft, the Netherlands and was visiting professor at the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Chile and at the Universidad Central at Santiago de Chile in 2004. Since 2004 he works with Frederik Künzel as pasel.künzel architects. The office won a lot of prizes and was awarded many times for their work, amongst others for the prestigious International Bauhaus Award 2008.
Ralf Pasel studied Architecture at the Ecole d’ Architecture de Paris, France, The Univeristy of Liverpool, England and at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany where he graduated in 1998 with ‘Honors Cum Laude’.
Between 1999 and 2004 he worked as Project Architect in charge at KCAP (Kees Christiaanse Architects & Planners) on two large-scale housing developments in Venlo and Rotterdam, the Netherlands and an office building in Haarlem.
Previously he has worked with Jean Nouvel and Santiago Calatrava, Paris and David Mikhail, London.
